ASIA BOOK MARKET — Asia's books and expression, an Osaka festival

Conclusion: an Osaka book-and-culture festival of indie publishers — ran on All-in at ~69% (2025, ended).

What it was

“KITAKAGAYA FLEA & ASIA BOOK MARKET 2025” (Nov 1–3, 2025, Creative Center Osaka), held by the Osaka indie publisher insects in its 20th-anniversary year. Books, zines, illustration, food and music came together, and the ASIA BOOK MARKET segment gathered publishers from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and more. On CAMPFIRE it raised ¥3,057,845 from 363 backers against a ¥4.45M goal (~69%).

How support worked

This was All-in — it proceeded even short of goal, running the event on what it raised. Rewards were experiential: entry, participation and goods.

Editor's note (on the reality of fundraising)

It came in at ~69%, under goal, yet still happened thanks to All-in — a clear reminder that % funded isn't pass/fail. The flip side: a shortfall can shrink rewards or scope, so for publishing and events, read what's actually guaranteed. Both the campaign and event have ended.
