On Makuake, against a ¥500k goal, they drew ¥636,736,060 from 7,413 backers (127,347%), setting the all-time No.1 funding record on Makuake across 50,000+ projects — the first time that record changed hands since June 2021 (campaign Feb 26 – May 30, 2026). The open was blistering: ¥50M in two hours, ¥100M on day one.
What moved people
A legible experience — “put them on and AI is in your sight and ears” — plus a global track record. Backers came from all 47 prefectures.

Proof that even a gadget changes order of magnitude when a clear experience, a real demo and a strong open line up. But smart glasses are a genre where you must verify radio certification, warranty, continued software updates and real usability. And crowdfunding is a pre-order, not a risk-free purchase.
